Whats the best way to get rid of spots?

I used to use soap, but all my friends said it was bad for your skins so i started using nivia face wash is this the best option?Whats the best way to get rid of spots?
Do not wash more than normal. Twice a day is normal for most people. Use a mild soap and lukewarm water. (Very hot or cold water may worsen acne.) Do not scrub hard when washing acne-affected skin. Do not use abrasive soaps, cleansing granules, astringents, or exfoliating agents. Use a soft wash-cloth and fingers instead. Excess washing and scrubbing may cause more inflammation, and possibly make acne worse.

Antiseptic washes are heavily advertised, but are unlikely to make any difference.

You cannot clean off blackheads. The black tip of a blackhead is actually melanin (skin pigment) and cannot be removed by cleaning or scrubbing.

Some topical acne treatments (described below) may dry the skin. If this occurs, use a fragrance-free, water-based moisturiser cream.

Do not use ointments or oil-rich creams as these may clog pores.

The aim of treatment is to clear spots as much as possible, and to prevent scarring. There are different types of treatment that work in different ways. A doctor or pharmacist will advise, and the treatment they advise will often depend on the severity and type of your acne. Treatments can be 'topical' (treatment that you apply to the skin), and/or tablets.

You may prefer not to treat mild acne which is not inflamed. That is, if you just have blackheads, whiteheads and mild pimples. Mild acne is common, and usually goes in time without scarring. However, inflamed acne can scar. If you develop inflammation (redness, red spots, pustules, etc) then it is best to treat early to prevent scarring. Treatment will usually clear most spots if you use it properly. However, no treatment will clear your skin perfectly.Whats the best way to get rid of spots?
u havent stated ur age, sometimes teenagers get oily skin which cause teen spots, sometimes its recommended 2 wash ur face first thing in the morning and again at night.(people with spots tend 2 wash the face more than twice a day) over stimulating the skin can sometimes cause spots. cleansing and toning is good 4 the skin + exfolite once or twice a week, 2 remove dead skin cells.

good luck on what u decide!!!!
Sudacrem - works wonders. Put it on your face every night before bed. Its thought of as nappy rash cream but it does say on it that its actually for spots/acne as well. It really works as a cheap and prescription free method. Other than that go to the doctors and they can give you something.

it depends on how bad your skin is..

I'd go for Clean%26amp;Clear, Neutrogena or Botanics

if you have really bad skin, go to the doctor and you can get antibiotics etc.
Ok well that happened to my skin but i read some things like what do you do to prevent spots and it said all this stuff about using product

and using all this stuff that in my opinion will actually make the spots worse but i would sugest you dont use wipes to wash your face as it doesnt actually wash it and it has certen chemicals in them which arnt good for your skin the soap is allright as long as you dont use it everyday as it does make your skin dry out but sometimes use it what i do is i wet my face inn warm water and put soap on it then i wash the soap off but i dont dry my face because i use clearasil face cleanser and sometimes a blackhead scrub then i towel dry my face

Hope that helps :)
DRINK TONS MORE WATER, then GET LOTS OF SLEEP, then EAT MORE FRUIT if you can, and WASH AND MOISTURISE with proper products every morning. NEVER WEAR MAKE UP TO BED.

Goodluck.
i had this same problem. but i learnt this important tip from some magazine that changed the condition of my skin for good. the tip was that using too much acne medication can cause your skin to produce more acne. so i swapped my normal face routine to a gentlier approach and WOW, what a difference it made. i still use antibacterial stuff to prevent spots but my skin has cleared up dramatically. another great tip i learnt on how to prevent spots from www.t-zone.co.uk was to look for 3 things in a skin care routine to guarantee clear skin:

1. antibacterial - to fight spot causing bacteria. can be natural (tea tree oil) or synthetic (salicylic acid)

2. unblock pores - can be a daily exfoliant or do it weekly, your choice

3. control shine - this normally comes in the moisturiser aspect but there are a few cleansers that does.

with the combination of these 3 things it helps you narrow down on what skincare product you should buy or how to organise your skincare routine. i hoped this helped you because it sure helped me!
use a face pack for oily skin this will suck out all the grease from your skin and the use a good non oily face cream

or steam your face over a bowl of boiling water to open your pores.

dont eat too much chocolate and eat a good diet no chips etc,
Simple, book onto a sunbed twice a week for a couple of months and hey presto they will be GONE. Alternatively go for the strongest mediciines out there, i think its called retinol.
