I used to use soap, but all my friends said it was bad for your skins so i started using nivia face wash is this the best option?Whats the best way to get rid of spots?
Do not wash more than normal. Twice a day is normal for most people. Use a mild soap and lukewarm water. (Very hot or cold water may worsen acne.) Do not scrub hard when washing acne-affected skin. Do not use abrasive soaps, cleansing granules, astringents, or exfoliating agents. Use a soft wash-cloth and fingers instead. Excess washing and scrubbing may cause more inflammation, and possibly make acne worse.
Antiseptic washes are heavily advertised, but are unlikely to make any difference.
You cannot clean off blackheads. The black tip of a blackhead is actually melanin (skin pigment) and cannot be removed by cleaning or scrubbing.
Some topical acne treatments (described below) may dry the skin. If this occurs, use a fragrance-free, water-based moisturiser cream.
Do not use ointments or oil-rich creams as these may clog pores.
The aim of treatment is to clear spots as much as possible, and to prevent scarring. There are different types of treatment that work in different ways. A doctor or pharmacist will advise, and the treatment they advise will often depend on the severity and type of your acne. Treatments can be 'topical' (treatment that you apply to the skin), and/or tablets.
You may prefer not to treat mild acne which is not inflamed. That is, if you just have blackheads, whiteheads and mild pimples. Mild acne is common, and usually goes in time without scarring. However, inflamed acne can scar. If you develop inflammation (redness, red spots, pustules, etc) then it is best to treat early to prevent scarring. Treatment will usually clear most spots if you use it properly. However, no treatment will clear your skin perfectly.Whats the best way to get rid of spots?
u havent stated ur age, sometimes teenagers get oily skin which cause teen spots, sometimes its recommended 2 wash ur face first thing in the morning and again at night.(people with spots tend 2 wash the face more than twice a day) over stimulating the skin can sometimes cause spots. cleansing and toning is good 4 the skin + exfolite once or twice a week, 2 remove dead skin cells.
good luck on what u decide!!!!
Sudacrem - works wonders. Put it on your face every night before bed. Its thought of as nappy rash cream but it does say on it that its actually for spots/acne as well. It really works as a cheap and prescription free method. Other than that go to the doctors and they can give you something.

it depends on how bad your skin is..
I'd go for Clean%26amp;Clear, Neutrogena or Botanics
if you have really bad skin, go to the doctor and you can get antibiotics etc.
Ok well that happened to my skin but i read some things like what do you do to prevent spots and it said all this stuff about using product
and using all this stuff that in my opinion will actually make the spots worse but i would sugest you dont use wipes to wash your face as it doesnt actually wash it and it has certen chemicals in them which arnt good for your skin the soap is allright as long as you dont use it everyday as it does make your skin dry out but sometimes use it what i do is i wet my face inn warm water and put soap on it then i wash the soap off but i dont dry my face because i use clearasil face cleanser and sometimes a blackhead scrub then i towel dry my face
Hope that helps :)
DRINK TONS MORE WATER, then GET LOTS OF SLEEP, then EAT MORE FRUIT if you can, and WASH AND MOISTURISE with proper products every morning. NEVER WEAR MAKE UP TO BED.
Goodluck.
i had this same problem. but i learnt this important tip from some magazine that changed the condition of my skin for good. the tip was that using too much acne medication can cause your skin to produce more acne. so i swapped my normal face routine to a gentlier approach and WOW, what a difference it made. i still use antibacterial stuff to prevent spots but my skin has cleared up dramatically. another great tip i learnt on how to prevent spots from www.t-zone.co.uk was to look for 3 things in a skin care routine to guarantee clear skin:
1. antibacterial - to fight spot causing bacteria. can be natural (tea tree oil) or synthetic (salicylic acid)
2. unblock pores - can be a daily exfoliant or do it weekly, your choice
3. control shine - this normally comes in the moisturiser aspect but there are a few cleansers that does.
with the combination of these 3 things it helps you narrow down on what skincare product you should buy or how to organise your skincare routine. i hoped this helped you because it sure helped me!
use a face pack for oily skin this will suck out all the grease from your skin and the use a good non oily face cream
or steam your face over a bowl of boiling water to open your pores.
dont eat too much chocolate and eat a good diet no chips etc,
Simple, book onto a sunbed twice a week for a couple of months and hey presto they will be GONE. Alternatively go for the strongest mediciines out there, i think its called retinol.

Which is the best natural remedy for clearing spots left on face by pimples?
Have you tried Bio - Oil??? It is excellent stuff and gets rid of the marks left by spots. I think the website is www.bio-oil.com or try typing it into a search engine. It really is one of the best things out there and is a naturally fortified oil. I put it on at night and you notice a difference in 4 weeks.Which is the best natural remedy for clearing spots left on face by pimples?

I LOVE to get tanned, but the thing is I am 22 and already have dark spots on my face?
How do I get rid of them? Why do I have them and is this normal?I LOVE to get tanned, but the thing is I am 22 and already have dark spots on my face?
Oh yes, those spots are from tanning, and I麓m sorry to tell, but it will be very difficult to make them disappear!
Forget about over-the-counter products, they won麓t work because they lack potency. You麓ll only lose money and time with those.
Your best bet is go to the derm who can prescribe a cream with hydroquinone or kojic acid, and/or the cosmetologist who can perform a series of chemical peels (probably with madelic acid).
See why tanning is bad? But relax, unless the spots are as big as a pencil eraser and have irregular borders, they probably are not melanoma (cancer) although you should check them anyway.I LOVE to get tanned, but the thing is I am 22 and already have dark spots on my face?
You are headed for skin cancer. You need to see a dermatologist. Stay out of the sun and use a self tanner.
stop tanning it may be skin cancer prob sunspots use aloe.
those spots are sun spots. use moisturizers to get rid of them. I don't get the whole craze with tanning. I think it looks so fake. I have never seen a natural looking tan. I would never step foot into a tanning salon. Maybe because I have a naturally olive tone, but I really think that natural skin in pretty.
I have a answer on how you got them: TOO MUCH TANNING!!! Take it down.
my advice: your skin is the only one you get, take care of it. unless you like the ideas of cancer or looking like your 80 when you're only 40.

How do I get sun spots(brown spots) off my face?
is there anyway to get it off? How do I get sun spots(brown spots) off my face?
try a mild skin lightening soap (black licorice soap) and a high spf sunscreen.. these work well together. How do I get sun spots(brown spots) off my face?
You could try a skin lightening cream for the brown spots. I really like Revitol Skin Brightener sold at melasma-cure.com. After washing and exfoliating your skin, rub some of the skin lightener on your spots. You should see results soon.
Also, anytime you go out into the sun, wear a high SPF broad spectrum sunscreen and seek the shade when you can. This is because the sun will darken your spots and make them more stubborn to remove.concealer

What can I do about all the age-spots (scars)all over my face?
......it looks like I have many little scars all over my face and I don't know how to make them a lot less visible....can use some good advice! What can I do about all the age-spots (scars)all over my face?
Age spots are small patches of darker pigmentation often caused buy sun damage. You can by creams/moistorisers etc which have a lightening agent in them designed to fade age spots but these will take a while to work and won't give immediate results. Look in the anti-aging section. In the meantime make sure you always wear sun block to stop them getting worse. What can I do about all the age-spots (scars)all over my face?
There are special creams for that. Just go to your chemist and ask for it.

What can i do about the dark spots on my face?
i am african american but i have really light skin, like a pale yellow gold, but i get acne and then i get really dark spots on my face, so i used some lighteners but now my skin is really uneven because now i have even paler skin but the dark spots are still really visible. is there a way so that i can have even skin, would sun tanning work or sunless tanner? What can i do about the dark spots on my face?
I am not too sure if tanning or sunless tanner would work because the reason you may dark spots could be caused by the melanin in your skin compared to just the appearance of the skin ( haha does that make sense hah).and tanning may only make the spots look darker because the melanin is being sped up. but if you are looking for some sort of makeup that would work I would suggest Bare Essentials- mineral make up. it is AMAZING! it makes anybodys skin seem flawless! (and after using for a few months I have noticed that my skin has improved too)What can i do about the dark spots on my face?
Don't tan. Just try clearing up the acne.
you must wash your face 3 times a day with soft skine saboon
dont use any type of cream in your face
Try exfoliating your skin...I like Apricot scrub by St. Ives...It will remove dead skin and produce a more even skin tone.
Mederma is really good for spots
